WSP USA has an immediate opening in the Chicago, Illinois office for a GIS Manager. The right candidate for this role can handle a wide array of projects and multiple assignments. The selected candidate will think creatively and critically about GIS resources, planning issues, and team assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand and perform GIS analysis using ESRI products and remote sensing tools
  • Ensure quality control review of GIS and data management work products
  • Oversee and manage the collection, storage, dissemination, and project use of geospatial data in various formats including ESRI, Google, CADD, and various open source data formats as needed
  • Interface with clients, project teams, and managers
  • Work effectively with team members as well as independently

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. in Planning, Engineering, Geography or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years educational and work experience with ESRI technologies, Arc GIS, or other GIS programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
  • Ability to apply scientific, geologic and/or engineering principles to define and solve problems
  • Proficiency in MS Office application software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advance degree or certificate in Geographical Information System (GIS) preferred
  • The selected candidate should be able to work in the United States immediately.  Local candidates preferred.
