Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the County Administrator, responsible for the overall administration, management, coordination and operation of Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Department and performs related work as required. Areas of overall responsibility include all programs, activities, functions and personnel making up the four (4) Department Divisions: Code Administration (administration and enforcement of Dodge County Land Use Code and ordinances; Non-metallic Mining Program; plat and CSM review; support Board of Adjustment), Parks and Trails, Planning and Economic Development (comprehensive planning, Revolving Loan Fund administration, Farmland Preservation, tourism) and Land Information. Provides front-line administration and management of Land Information Division including GIS services and mapping, tax mapping, survey, and property description activities.
Education and Experience:
Either Master’s Degree in a field of study relating to land resources, and five (5) years increasingly responsible professional experience (three (3) must be supervisory); Or Four (4) year college or university degree in a field of study relating to land resources, and seven (7) years increasingly responsible professional experience (four (4) must be supervisory); or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
