WLIA headed to Elkhart Lake in June

Save a spot on your calendar for the next Wisconsin Land Information Association regional meeting at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake on June 8th and 9th.  The purpose of the meeting is to explore the current state of data dissemination policies in Wisconsin, and to provide insight into issues such as privacy, copyright, and GIS law.

Wisconsin senator Jon Erpenbach will kick off the event with a presentation on the legislative response to privacy issues in Wisconsin.  Other speakers include John Garvin (American Transmission Company Government Affairs), Lea Shanley (UW –Madison), Dave Hart (University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute), Jaime Stoltenberg (UW –Madison), Diann Danielson (Dane County), Terry Dietzel (Fond du Lac County), Bill Holland (GeoAnalytics), Don Dittmar (Waukesha County), and Bob Borowski (City of Waukesha).  The agenda on Friday focuses primarily on a panel discussion related to privacy, copyright, and data distribution.

Cost for the Thursday meeting is $40.00 ($50.00 non-member), while Friday runs $30.00 ($40.00 non-member).
