Paul Tessar, a former employee of Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources, continues his legacy in harnessing GIS capabilities for planning and cooperation to new organizations. While at DNR, Paul was instrumental in developing a statewide GIS co-op called WISCLAND, the Wisconsin Initiative for Statewide Cooperation for Landscape Analysis and Data, amongst many other GIS projects.
Today, Paul is the GIS data adminstrator for DenverGIS, a technology service agency of the City and County of Denver. Paul also chairs the GIS steering committee of the Colorado Homeland Security North Central Region (NCR) and is currently coordinating the development of a seamless regional streets layer involving their 10 NCR counties, 3 neighboring counties, and 16 cities that maintain GIS centerline layers on regional county boundaries.
