SCO Annual Report for 2024-25 Now Available

Who We Are

The State Cartographer’s Office (SCO) is a special program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison housed within the Geography Department. We support the state’s geospatial community and the public through presentations and educational workshops, technical consulting, print and digital publications, web-based catalogs and data services, data development, research, and information about events, jobs and emerging trends. Our services reach a diverse array of people, organizations and agencies in Wisconsin. Our work embodies the “Wisconsin Idea,” channeling the knowledge and expertise of the University to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of the state.
