WLIA sets October meeting program

The Wisconsin Land Information Association (WLIA) has scheduled its next membership meeting for October 16-17 in Spring Green. The focus of the meeting is road information, ranging from the states WISLR system, PaserWare (a system for inventory of pavement conditions), standards for systematic addressing along roads, and issues integration issues for addresses, road centerline databases, and E911.

These topics will be presented in two components. Thursday will be a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by golf and croquet in the afternoon. A free evening map critique will conclude the day. Fridays program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Each day has a separate fee. Non-members are welcome to attend.

Plan for Wisconsin Dells too

Each year the biggest GIS gathering in the state is the WLIAs annual conference. In 2004 it will be held in Wisconsin Dells, March 3-5. The deadline for proposing presentations is October 15.
