Times when the map library at UW-Madison is open to the public have been curtailed for September due to a temporary staffing reduction. A total of eight hours each week includes four each on Tuesday and Sunday.
The Map Library’s restricted September hours are: Tuesdays 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30) and Sundays 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. (September 7, 14, 21, 28).
An adjustment to this schedule is possible in October, but decisions have not yet been made. Recruitment is underway for a new map librarian to replace Mary Galneder who retired in August.
