UW-Madison names new map librarian

November 10 is the first day on a new job for Jamie Martindale as librarian of the Arthur H. Robinson Map Library at UW-Madison. She comes to Madison from a position at Cornell University in Ithica, NY.

Martindale will be relocating much closer to her roots in the Milwaukee area. She received her Master’s Degree from UW-Milwaukee and worked at the American Geographical Society Collection while there.

At Cornell’s Mann Library Jamie held the position of Coordinator of GIS Services. As part of that role she managed the GeoSpatial Information Repository (CUGIS). The Robinson Map Library is part of the UW-Madison’s Geography Department, and is not formally affiliated with the General Library System on campus.
