Our state’s largest gathering of GIS and land information professionals is set for February 22-24, 2005 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay.

The conference theme of “tackling data integration” is intended to highlight the growing use of GIS/LIS in a wide variety of broader information systems. Conference presentations are organized into a variety of tracks including government and policy, the Web, emergency services, imagery and terrain, applications, and data migration. In addition to the technical tracks and plenary sessions, there will be over 50 exhibitors on hand representing a variety of private and public organizations in the geospatial industry.

No trip to Green Bay is complete without a few words from a Packer legend, so don’t miss keynote speaker Larry “The Rock” McCarren during the opening plenary session. Packer fans everywhere know McCarren for his game day commentary on the Packer Radio Network. The Hall of Famer also hosts a weekly Packer highlight show, and serves as the sports director for a Green Bay television station. Larry’s talk about leadership and teamwork is sure to be a hit!

The Wisconsin Land Information Association (WLIA) is a grassroots organization representing a collection of concerned professionals working to develop, maintain, and apply a network of statewide land information systems. WLIA members include staff and elected officials from all levels of government, academics, consultants, and other private sector users of GIS.
