Geospatial Summit Returns to UW-Madison on April 16, 2025

The 2025 Geospatial Summit will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Gordon Dining and Event Center, 770 W. Dayton St, Madison.

This year, our keynote speaker is Dr. David Hart. Hart is a senior scientist with the UW Aquatic Sciences Center and serves as the assistant director for extension at Wisconsin Sea Grant. His research occurs at the intersection of geographic information science, urban planning and coastal management, with a focus on the application of geospatial technologies to promote resilience to natural hazards.

Other speakers include Janet Silbernagel of Silvernail Geodesign and Christian Andresen in the Geography Department at UW-Madison.

The keynote and speakers will begin at 10 am and end by 12:30 pm.

At 1:30 pm (after a one-hour lunch break) there will be a career panel and career fair, with representatives from local GIS companies and agencies. The Panel begins at 1:30 pm and the Career Fair at 2:30 pm.

The event is free and open to all, including students, staff, faculty and members of the community.
