Introduction to Geographic Information Systems Workshop, April 16, 2026

Interested in an overview of GIS concepts and software? The Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Workshop provides attendees with the fundamentals of GIS. The workshop is 2 hours in length, and will involve hands-on use of GIS software (ArcGIS Pro) in a computer lab setting.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 pm in Memorial Library Room 231.

Seating is limited. If the workshop fills, we hope to offer the workshop again at a later date. Please register to reserve a spot.

This workshop is for UW-Madison affiliated students, staff and faculty. UW-Madison ID is required to access Memorial Library.

No background knowledge of GIS is expected for attendees of the workshop.
