Wisconsin may be in line for statewide 1-meter resolution digital orthophoto coverage sooner than expected due to a recent decision by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The newly-revised 119-page publication contains general background information on map projections and coordinate systems, as well as specific coordinate systems design parameters used in Wisconsin.

An amendment passed by the Wisconsin Joint Committee on Finance adds a provision to the state budget bill that would allow local governments to recoup certain expenses associated with maintaining 911 systems.
