WLIA announces new scholarship

The Wisconsin Land Information Association (WLIA) is pleased to announce a new scholarship established to help students working toward a degree related to land information, such as geographic information systems, geography, and urban planning.

The scholarship is funded through donations from private individuals, organizations, and other activities of WLIA. Two scholarships in the amount of $750 each will be distributed by the WLIA Board of Directors prior to August 1, 2005. The scholarship will also include a one year student membership and free registration to our 2006 Annual Conference in Wisconsin Dells.

The deadline for completing the application is June 1, 2005.

We also encourage all students to become members of WLIA and participate in our functions and organizations. It is a great way for students to network and meet GIS/LIS professionals. We offer a student membership rate of $25 per year. Membership applications are also available on our website.
