Wisconsinites willing to take a short trip to the west may be interested in some upcoming ArcGIS and LiDAR workshops happening in Minnesota.
The Minnesota GIS/LIS Association is sponsoring a series of 11 half-day educational workshops in the Twin Cities area on May 15th. A range of topics will be covered, including: Enterprise Data Management with ArcGIS Server 9.2, Using LiDAR Data in ArcGIS, Introduction to Model Builder, Introductory and Intermediate Geospatial Programming with Python, Introductory and Intermediate Integrating Google SketchUp into the GIS Workflow, ArcGIS Server 9.2 Web Applications & Services, and Hydraulic Modeling with ArcHydro.

LiDAR workshop on June 6th

Merrick & Company is sponsoring a free LiDAR workshop/presentation from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on June 6 in Rochester, MN. The workshop is intended to introduce attendees to the basics of LiDAR, particularly as it applies to floodplain mapping. Anyone interested must RSVP by May 29.
