OJA profiles statewide aerial photography effort

Earlier today Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) aired a short story on the statewide aerial photography project led by the Wisconsin Regional Orthophoto Consortium. Chris Diller, GIS Coordinator for the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs, was interviewed for the piece that was on during the morning news show. Chris was able to touch briefly on the partnerships that made the effort work, and also some examples of how the imagery will be used.

The story was aimed at a general public audience, so some of the terms the interviewer used like “reconaissance planes” might cause a bit of a chuckle among the mappers in the audience. Regardless, it’s great to see some well-deserved PR for the WROC project. A text version of the story is currently available on the WPR Web site.
