In July, the Wisconsin Historical Records Advisory Board announced that our project The Changing Landscapes of Wisconsin, A Digital Archive of Historic Aerial Photographs and the online application Wisconsin Historic Aerial Image Finder (“WHAIFinder”) won the 2011 Governor’s Award for Archival Innovation.

You are cordially invited to join us for the official award ceremony, which will take place in the Robinson Map Library (310 Science Hall, UW-Madison) on Friday, October 7th at 2:00pm.

Rick Pifer from the Wisconsin State Historical Society will be on hand to present the award certificate(s) to the entire project team consisting of staff and students from the State Cartographer’s Office, the UW Digital Collections Center, and the Map Library. We will also have some light refreshments available following the ceremony.
