As noted in an earlier Bulletin article, the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) has added an exam component to its GIS Professional (GISP) certification process.
The first of these “Geospatial Core Technical Knowledge Exams” will be offered November 12-17, 2015 at locations across the US. The signup period for the exam extends from Monday, September 21, 2015 through Friday, October 9, 2015.
To sign up for the exam, visit the GISCI website and fill out an application. You will be authorized to schedule an exam date after you have successfully applied with GISCI.
Exam questions cover: Conceptual Foundations; Cartography & Visualization; GIS Design Aspects & Data Modeling; GIS Analytical Methods; Data Manipulation; Geospatial Data.
