Geospatial Summit Returning to UW-Madison in 2024

Mark your calendars! The Geospatial Summit is returning to UW-Madison on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The Geospatial Summit is an opportunity to share geospatial research and program updates, employment and internship opportunities, and new ideas and initiatives. Past Summits have been attended by students, staff and faculty at UW-Madison and other Universities of Wisconsin campuses, staff from government agencies at all levels, representatives from the private sector and non-profits, and the general public.

The 2024 event will continue the Summit’s tradition of being free and open to all.

The 2024 event will be held in Gordon Commons, 821 W Johnson St, Madison. We anticipate beginning at 10:00 am with a keynote address and several presentations, followed by a lunch break, and then a panel session and career fair with participants from local geospatial firms and government agencies.

The Summit was last held in November 2019. A recap can be found here.

More details about the Summit will be shared on this website as they become available.

The 2024 Summit is being planned jointly by staff from the UW-Madison Geography Department, the Nelson Institute, the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture, the GIS Professional Programs, the Cartography Lab, the Robinson Map Library and the State Cartographer’s Office.
