The interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council met for the first time on September 23, 2008. Over the next two years, WIGICC will serve as the primary forum and coordinating body for geographic information and technology in the state of Wisconsin.

The process to identify members of the interim Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council (WIGICC) is nearly complete, with 14 of the 15 members now named. The first council meeting is scheduled for September 23rd in Madison, followed by a “Network” meeting on October 28th in Appleton.
