At 1pm, fifteen research presentations by a diverse group of speakers took place in three concurrent sessions.

The Summit concluded with a keynote presentation from Marcy Bidney, Curator at the American Geographical Society Library, who spoke on “Geographic Information: The Changing Landscape of Access.” This talk focused on the evolution of access to geographic information over the last two decades.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Marcy for being the Keynote Speaker and for her participation on the career panel. We also want to thank our other career panelists and all of the conference presenters, whose time and efforts helped make the event a success. Likewise we would like to thank the GIS Certificate Program, Nelson Institute, and the Cartography Lab for sponsoring the afternoon break with cookies.

For those of you unable to attend this year, we hope to see you at the 2018 Summit. Relevant information will be posted on the Geospatial Alliance and SCO websites as the date draws closer.
